Canal Walk Slip -
Canal Walk, Collegepark, Kilkenny
- Starts and finishes 500 metres downstream of the Kilkenny Hurling statue at Johns Bridge, under Kilkenny Castle walls.
- We’ll then spend a few minutes or so on land talking through our equipment, some safety information and how to paddle! You must be prepated to get wet and swim!
- Then we’ll go down to the slipway and launch you on the river where you will spend a while paddling around, talking through technique and getting comfortable with it all and you can then paddle up towards Johns Bridge supervised by a KACC paddler.
We will provide a buoyancy aid along with a paddleboard, paddle and a leash.
- Please wear a wetsuit or lightweight but warm outdoor style clothes, dress in layers.
- Please wear suitable footwear such as running shoes.
- Please bring a full change of clothes and a towel.
- You will be able to put valuables safe at the get in point.
KACC require full payment at the time of booking.

- KACC reserve the right to cancel the event if weather makes it unsafe and refunds will be issued on request.
