Using SUP Boards, take an easy paddle with us upriver, in the peace and tranquility of the River Nore, where you'll learn about some of Kilkenny's rich history and wildlife. You'll pass old sites such as the Castle, St Johns Bridge, the Carnegie Library, and the former Smithwicks Brewery, with a view of St Canice's Cathedral at the top of the river. The trip ends with a leisurely float downstream, where you can take photos of Kilkenny from the river.
We may make it up to the weir above Greens Bridge and be able to play on white water!

Starts and finishes 500 metres downstream of the Kilkenny Hurling statue at Johns Bridge, under Kilkenny Castle walls.
Guests paddle easily upstream taking in the peace and tranquillity of the river Nore, passing along the castle weir, Kilkenny Castle, St Johns bridge, the Carnegie Library and former Smithwick’s Brewery and up towards Greens Bridge with a view of St Canice’s Cathedral. You can stay dry or opt to shoot the weir and have a splash!
Learn some of Kilkenny’s history, spot wildlife including ducks, swans and perhaps an otter or kingfisher flitting along the bank.
Make an easy trip back downstream and get photos of yourselves with Kilkenny Castle in the background.
We will provide a jacket and buoyancy aid along with a SUP board and paddle.
